Special Trekking Permit Fees for Restricted Areas

A special trekking permit is required from the Department of Immigration, Kalikasthan, Kathmandu, Nepal, for trekking in areas classified as Restricted areas.Nevertheless, Himalayan Joy Adventure will help you obtain all necessary special trekking permits without any servicing charges.

Trekking outside the designated routes or areas is considered a legal violation. The trekking permit must be carried at all times during the trek and presented to immigration officers or police upon request. The Department of Immigration will issue these trekking permits.

Here are 15 Restricted Areas in Nepal that require visitors to obtain a Restricted Area Permit (RAP) to access, including Upper Mustang, Upper Dolpa, Lower Dolpa, Kanchenjunga, Manaslu, and other regions.
